It’s been said so many times that we are HUMANS “DOING”  and not HUMANS “BEING.”

Hypnotherapy and NLP Coaching work can help you to relax, gain calm and perspective in life. It can also help you to reinforce some good practices and tools so that you can continue to manage your mindset in a very healthy way.

We operate on automatic pilot much of the time, without any kind of mindfulness at all. In fact, mindfulness is a learned practice.

We have all developed subconscious programs that operate beneath the surface every minute of the day. Therefore, we tend to just “do” instead of “be.” These programs direct our every move.

We may feel anxious or nervous about something in life… even to the point of extreme panic… never once being able to identify what, exactly, is scaring us now.  That old “computer chip” of childhood is still in our brains, making us feel unsafe… even though we are very safe and comfortable in our current lifestyles.

Those programs create emotions that cause certain behaviors in our lives. For example, maybe we are so afraid of reliving the poverty of childhood that we become workaholics at the expense of our family time?

Our work week becomes a grueling experience without joy. However, we cannot seem to stop ourselves, even though the bank account is more than healthy. That childhood fear of not having food on the table may be driving us… even though we are now so wealthy that we can hire a personal chef in our home and eat at expensive restaurants as much as we like!

It just MAKES NO LOGICAL SENSE! But, there is very little logic in the subconscious mind. Logic lives in the conscious realm, which is only 5% of our total mind power.

So much of the time we behave like hamsters on a treadmill… continuing to do things as we always have done them… chasing our tails for reasons that don’t make sense anymore.

It is so important to take time in the morning to set our day and intentions for that day… or we will just “do” without feeling or thinking.

Some people turn to meditation and journaling to help  them to be “Humans Being” and not “Humans Doing”… It may take some time to develop this habit and everytime we practice, we get better at it.

Whenever I’m feeling angst, I write down the thoughts in my head and it really helps for me to get grounded to see my thoughts on paper. When I read them, I realize that most of the time what I am hassled about has no basis in reality at all. It’s just an old program that is running me and the angst just disappears on the spot.

The best part is that I’m then able to make decisions based on my new, healthy reality!

So, take some time out of life today and allow yourself to be a Human Being!
