People ask why I do this work as a Hypnotherapist and NLP Coach. It can be emotionally draining at times and very intense. The answer is… because I JUST LOVE IT! I feel like every single experience in my life, especially the challenging ones, have led me to this career. Nothing brings me greater joy than guiding other people towards personal breakthroughs.
Oprah has said, ““Everybody has a calling. And your real job in life is to figure out as soon as possible what that is, who you were meant to be, and to begin to honor that in the best way possible for yourself.” Ironically, by being a student of this work, I found my calling.
About 25 years ago, I felt really stopped in life, although on the surface I had everything anyone could possibly want. I had a good job, a wonderful loving husband, two beautiful sons, but something was missing for me. I was extremely unhappy. I blamed my unhappiness on anything I could… my husband, my job, my kids, the challenges of raising a kid with special needs. I never looked inside myself for the problem… or the solution.
That is… Until at the age of 38 when I accidentally stumbled upon this body of work that creates breakthroughs in your subconscious mind. It, literally, changed the trajectory of my life and I just couldn’t get enough of it. I did these workshops for fun and kept surfacing and releasing more and more negative stuff deep inside of me that I had no idea was there.
Somehow, when the time was right, an opportunity presented itself to lead me towards this career. It’s kind of a long story, but if you visit my website: https://bestlifehypnotherapy.com/about/ that info is in my bio if you want to know the details.
The bottom line is that this work was an investment in myself and through it, I found my passion after searching for it for decades. The key to figuring out my purpose and my talent was in first getting rid of all the clutter in my brain. That clutter started in childhood and so many disempowering thoughts got in the way of me seeing my own value, aptitudes and authentic interests. It helped me develop confidence to try something I had never done before and to step outside my comfort zone.
