Los Angeles Grief Hypnosis Memorial Candle

My mom died 40 years ago, when I was just 17 years old and I thought crying was a weakness. “I mean, so what? Doesn’t everyone die?  What’s the big deal?  I’ll get over it…”

Well, not exactly.  When I was 24 years old, I couldn’t stop sobbing at my own wedding.  When I was 26 years old and found out I was pregnant with my first child, I couldn’t understand my sadness at this happy news.  When my son was born, I was devastated and thought it was because I was going back to work instead of staying home with the baby.  However, through a support group for working mothers, I realized the source of my sadness… I WAS MISSING MY MOTHER!

Marriage… babies… where was my mother when I needed her the most?  At age 38 when I was completely stopped in my life, I finally found a therapy program that helped me to grieve.  Little did I know, this program was, essentially, group Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Coaching.

Grieving is a natural process and one which we MUST experience in order to move on with our lives when a loved one dies.  Today, as a Certified Hypnotherapist and Master NLP Coach, I have a special certification in Coping With Loss. I’ve helped many people to go through the stages of loss to arrive at acceptance and find a place for their loved ones to live within their hearts forever… freeing them to keep the wonderful memories and allow the healing to begin.

The older we get, the more likely we are to lose people we love in our lifetime.  Grief counseling, coaching and/or a support group is not a luxury.  Take it from one who has been there.
